    Glad you liked it. Mr. Farcus picked out his own pen name for the obit-he comes from a very upscale family hereabouts that would definately NOT want him mentioned. What they did NOT know was that he was kicking around the idea of driving a shriner car out to L.A. in support of Ms. Ryder-he had just re-watched 'The Straight Story'. We changed a couple of other details in order to have deniability, but the main stuff IS true.
    Mr. Farcus ordered us to play Louis Jordan "There Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" at his funeral assserting it contained 'all the hidden truths' of the universe. I still don't know if that was another one of his straight-faced jokes. His other best dead-pan bit was when folks asked him his thoughts about the current shoplifting charges against Ms. Ryder. He replied;"That was her twin SISTER Myra..the one married to Dennis Lee Quaid. Guy used to play the rock'n'roll piano but ran off with Ellen Ryan to New Orleans and she dumped him for a Roman gladiator that hunts crocs. Myra, she wound up casting out demons in New York." Everybody would just look and say 'Oh'.
    Then Farcus would cackle secretly.
