Sometimes they get along, sometimes they don't. They key is to figure out
if your dog is a dominant dog or not and if the dog you're getting is dominant or not. Neutered usually doesn't matter much(as far as attitude) unless its done prior to 1 year old. If you're getting a puppy, this will be a task with unknown results. If you're getting a rescue, 9 times out of 10 the rescue folks can place a grown male with your male and get a perfect match. Its easier when they're grown and have developed their personalities. Just because you get a female doesn't guarantee a happy household either. It lessens the chances but it doesn't eliminate them. Do your homework, this goes much deeper than male vs female

: My husband and I have talked about getting another weim. We already have a four
: year old male named Riley. He wants to get another male, and I told hom it is
: not a good idea. He does not believe me. I would rahter have a female not for
: breeding purposes, just as a companion. He does not believe that two males will
: always be at each other trying to dominaite each other and so forth. Does
: anyone else have other reasons we should not get a male? I need to get this in
: my husbands head NO MORE MALES! Thanks in advance.....
