Posted by Gina I would look into that as most dogs will never do their business in the crates... unless they really have to (sick for example). Hope this helps.

I have had many weims in my life and I have to say females could be the hardest ones to potty train, at least in my experiences. I do have to say, if she is a year old and you have tried most of the tricks out there, have you considered taking her to the vet? maybe she has a blatter incontinece problem. Many dogs suffer from that, specially females.

: I have a 1 year old female Weim and I have had the most difficult time getting
: her to do what I want her to do... She is so misbehaved, I am really not sure
: what to do anymore! I want to beleive that she is still in her puppy stage
: (which I am sure she is) but I see no end in sight. I read on a website that
: Weims are known to be the devil and an angel rolled up in one! This is so true
: in Sadie's case. At one year old she is yet to be housetrained... I have tried
: a whole variety of training techniques that have not worked! It would be one
: thing if I ignored her plea to go out, but she won't even tell me anymore! She
: knows that she is not supposed to be doing this because she hides under the
: kitchen table... even before I get the spray bottle out (our crueless way of
: punishment). Crate-training? Forget about it! She gets let out of the crate
: sopping wet! She is covered in pee! This is only one problem I have that I need
: help on... if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to email!
