My thought is that a gloss provides more of a surface area to attach to. Versus a flat one, which show microscopic hills & valleys.... I have not used glue in the past to secure wood laminate. Where the wood ends is typically met by a row of railings- the CA used at that edge in turn holds the wood at those points.... Just want to avoid the wood from springing upward over the years. If they do ? My intention is to poke a pin-prick hole & secure with a small drop of CA glue, then a flat clear to hide the CA's glossiness.
Thank you !!
do you put glue on a gloss surface or a flat\roughened surface as better adhesion on a flat\roughened surface as more open pores for glue\adhesive to attach to.
Just thinking out loud here. Wouldn't it be best to attach wooden, cut to fit, deck laminates to a gloss surface versus a flat one ?
I scratch built a deck for my 1:700 LIBERTAD kit out of uncut Artwox wooden deck sheet, and getting ready to apply it and this thought just occured to me.
Thanks for any imput here.
Have a great weekend~
