I use only one spray can of paints that are intended mostly for home use--not hobby ship models. I never use Rustoleum products. Their primer flat dark gray is lumpy and rough and impossible to remove. The best primer for priming detailed ship models was Krylon 1138 gray. I use the darker gray primer, but I recall that they produced a lighter gray of the same good quality. The latest cans of this paint is "Krylon Colormaster primer," gray ultra flat (51318 Gray Primer). This product goes on very fine, dries fast and looks real good! I have used this product since the 1960s on metal and resin models. It dries quickly and I often would put on the final coat of paint color within an hour after spraying with Krylon gray primer--it takes Humbrol and other acrylic, lacquer and other brands very well with brushing. Keep it at room temperature and shake the can very well! I always used it on household painting with excellent results.

So, I have purchased some True north paints, i like the way they brush and spray, but they seem to dry SLOW..they kind of remind me of the old Humbrol any suggestions? I just did some spray work, thinned with lacquer thinner?? Testors Model Master dried pretty fast! I miss that, holy crud! Rustoleum is NOT my favorite for canceling the lines, both enamel and acrylics
