Good, they're still very useful ships and complementary to the ESBs - the ESDs being more geared towards LCAC operations vs. the ESBS which focus on aviation and small boats (the latter lowered by cranes from the mission deck). Not being commissioned, hate to say we haven't really kept track of their status. There certainly was a fuss from Congress when the Navy took them out of active service as they're comparatively new.
Oddly enough, we collect material from christening and commissioning ceremonies and acquired Montford Point's christening bottle in its presentation case from the ship sponsor's estate a few years ago.
