There seems to have been some plumbing below each of them, which I assume was an intake for cooling water.

are they the "outboard motors"?
I've recently been intrigued by the MMS-1 Minesweeper Special, which seems to have basically been a Liberty Ship hull with her voids flooded the hull filled with 140,000 cubic feet of styrofoam, making her close to unsinkable.
Seems like a pretty straightforward scratch-build conversion with a Liberty Ship hull, so I'm thinking about building her in 1/700
Wondering if anyone in the group knows of additional resources, plans, photos, etc. on the project, before I fill in the blanks with guesswork.
