Should get you an SSModel 1/400 scale Gato, kit 954S.
There are no listings for the Gato Submarine in 1/400 scale, only a waterline or full hull models in either 1/350 or 1/700 scales.
SSModel is a 3D printer. He can print each offering in multiple scales, including one offered in 1/400 as just 954S, without the "350" in front of it (which is the 350th scale offering which Scalemates has shown.) That is common among these new eBay printed kits. There's a basic item number (954S in this case) then you'll find it listed on ebay as 350954S, 700954S and so on...a scale number added onto the basic item number for ordering purposes. (And it is important to note, as ordering the wrong number gets you the wrong scale item!) Scalemates just grabs a random kit number and lists it. In this particular case, for whatever reason, if you want the 1/400 version, it is not 400954S, but just listed as 954S. That's how the individual seller wants to list it. So, there is a 1/400 scale kit of this.
that kit is 350954S is 1/350 scale.
Need info in this kit seen on that site that can't be mentioned...
SSMODEL 954S 1/400 Military Warship Model USN GATO Submarine SS-212 (Full hull)
Does anyone have any experience with this line?
How is their accuracy?
Was hoping to find the Dolphin kit. but the USN seem to be unavailable (announced but never released?) and the Italian versions would require resin replacements (conning tower, AAA, etc).
