Someone posted new pictures of the model in the MWS forums. The bow still looks to me like it is too sharply raked. I'm not sure that it's a deal-breaker for me, but it might be for some people.
There's a pic posted in the replies of a finished model with an incorrect bow -- but that's a different kit. That looks like one of the wooden 200 scale Titanic kits already out there.
The only clear pictures on the trumpeter facebook page are 2 of the stern. There a 3rd, distant pic of the bow and its looks pretty vertical, as does the box art.
One reply did mention the wrong number of rails on the brass and hoped it would be fixed. I'm hoping someone posts much better or closer pics.
Titanic is probably the biggest case of "rivet counter obsession" and I can think of with virtually no exterior detail, equipment or color not diagrammed and argued over. And, at 200 scale, there's a LOT of details that visible in 200 scale -- things fudged at 350 scale cant be ignored in 200 scale.
It's a good looking model overall. However, it appears that the bow is raked too sharply. It should be almost vertical.
Trumpet has 1 at Nurembergh. It looks real nice. All I have is Facebook links.
