Now the funny thing is on a surface ship the pointy end tends to be the bow, while on a modern submarine it's the stern.
Sorry for using technical terms for the pointy end.
I have used K&S square brass tubing epoxied to the base plate - or even to the underside of the main deck if you don't have a base plate. One can carry the tubing all the way to the pointy end of the boat by filing and thinning if necessary....Dibbles or HobbyTown.
Does anyone have any good ideas for materials to use to weigh down the fore and aft ends of 1/700 waterline kits to keep them from bowing, especially where the kit doesn't provide a metal plate? Such bowing is obvious on some kits such as the test shots of the Aoshima Dorsetshire.
