Re: Weights for Waterline Kits
Try 1/4 inch stainless steel key stock. Available on Amazon, cut to size with a hacksaw. I clamp the ends of the waterline hull to a glass plate, liberally apply 5 min apoxy to the inside bottom (entire length) and lay the key stock on the bed of apoxy and let cure for a few hours.
Does anyone have any good ideas for materials to use to weigh down the fore and aft ends of 1/700 waterline kits to keep them from bowing, especially where the kit doesn't provide a metal plate? Such bowing is obvious on some kits such as the test shots of the Aoshima Dorsetshire.
