I have had to sell the house I have owned since 1993 on Cape Cod - because of a mold infestation. I have been told that some of the models I have displayed in that house can be salvaged and brought home to Connecticut. In that light - in order to make room for the models that are going to be salvaged, only three (out of seven or eight), I need to make room for them here.
To do that, I've decided to sell three of my collection that I have here in Connecticut. The three models are:
The three models are:
A 33-inch semi-scratchbuilt (using the 1960 vintage 1:30 Dumas PT-109 kit) model of PT-191 in her 1944/45 configuration. It has scratchbuilt fittings as well as fittings from H-R Products. The H-R Products fittings are two 20mm guns, a 37mm gun, the 40mm Bofors, roll-off racks for Mark XIII torpedoes with two Mark XIII torpedoes from H-R Products and two Mark XIII which were scratchbuilt, the .50-cal MGs in the turrets and the SO-Type radar. It comes on a base and in a case. I'd like to ask $800 for it.
A 1944-vintage Varney PT model (1:64 scale, but 1:72 scale fittings were used to restore and enhance it). The .50s in the turrets and the 20mm gun come from a now defunct UK-based vendor and from White Ensign, the depth charges are scratchbuilt. It comes on a base and with a case. I'd like to ask $500 for it.
The third model is a 1977-vintage AIRFIX 1:72 Vosper MTB. It was originally built (by me) in 1977, out-of-the-box as a full-hull model. It fell into disrepair and was rehab-ed in the 1990s as a waterline model, using parts from a "donor" kit. In the early 2000s, it was rehab-ed one last time, using a twin 20mm from NAUTILUS and .50-cal and .303 Brownings and a Holomon Projector from GREAT LITTLE SHIPS. I'd like to ask $250 for it.
ALL prices are negotiable - up to a point. Could you guys please help? You can ask Tracy White, Bob Cicconi, or Chris Preston for my email address.
