That's one reason why it's a good idea to dry-fit components before gluing or painting parts. I've had that happen numerous times, sometimes even after I thought I had everything figured out. It makes you want to scream. On the other hand- maybe you can just do it as a waterline in this case.
You know, it's always 5 O'Clock somewhere in the world . I sympathize with you.
You ever have a kit that goes together wonderfully until one major misfit threatens to wreck the whole project. Well I got a major dose of that today with my 1/350 Bronco New York LPD-21. The upper hull is much wider than the lower hull, and it almost made me want to use the model as a bat.
Luckily, I walked away because it is way too early to drink!!!
