The tissue paper and tin foil sound interesting and would look most like draped flags just not sure how to do them?
I don't know exactly what "look" you are going for but clay might work well. I use it for a lot of different things from weather cloths to blast bags. It takes paint (enamel) very well too. You may also try tissue paper or lead foil. HTH...
I'm currently rebuilding my OLD Blue devil Destroyer kit. using her for practice with both kit conversion, and scratch building. Anyway, I'm wanting to simulate signal flags in her flag bags. Being in 1/125 scale, you can see into the bags. However I have no idea on how to go about simulating the flags in the bags. ANY suggestions or advice on how to make them would be Greatly Appreciated. I look foreword to hearing from you, and I Thank You for your time.
