Yes I know the feeling. My reaction to paint peeling in particular came to a head one day in a spectacular fashion. I threw all my acrylics away and went back to enamels. I then bought a paint brand and started a company to home it.
I'd rather give up modelling altogether than suffer present-technology acrylics paints again.
As for the rest, try not to beat yourself up about it. It's only a hobby
You know the kit you want to start. You buy the aftermarket parts. You gather your supplies. You get started on your project. You then have these ideas and grand visions of the outcome in your mind. Then it seems like all hell starts. You loose one of only two parts (and both have to be used on the model), paint peels, PE bends the wrong way or mutilates and will not correct, and fit issues. You get frustrated and think about trashing everything until the cost of everything you have bought rolls through your head so that is out of the question. You try to overcome by taking a bit of a break, but when you see it again all of those frustration flood back in. Has anyone else had this happen to them and what was your cure? Thanks.
