I don't have a problem using nicknames for screenames.....
It's only when somebody takes cheap shots, insults, and makes personal attacks hiding behind a screen name that I have a problem with it. I can think of many valid reasons for the sake of protecting personal info not to use real names on discussion forums. But most know how to behave themselves.

You're complaining that a thread was political by doing what? Starting it up all over again, by drawing attention to politics, and making it political. The hypocrisy is astounding. And I've always used my real name long before you started your drive by postings here, "tko24" is my nickname given to me by friends going back to my high school and college baseball days, but my name was always in the email header that used to be at the top of the page. And many on these forums know who I am in "real life" and from several other forums as well. Have you forgotten that you used to post anonymously here, as 1/96 Bob, didn't reveal your name, didn't add your email at the top. It was only after you were outed by another poster several years ago that you finally admitted who you were, not without trying to deny it I remember. I remember that very well. I also remember that for some time and for some reason you keep taking pot shots at Tracy White. What's that about?
Because you need to be the center of attention. So you fracture the discussion by starting a new thread on existing subjects with yourself at the top.
United States Army
Tom/tko24 First I wish you the best.
Second You must take some of my advice! You are using your true name. Good for you!
Third I start a new thread JUST to give you someone to complain about. Everyone else gets a Jolly Good Fellow from you.
Fourth That's OK. As long as I'm not deleted I welcome the opportunity to trade opinions.
Fifth As a Serviceman/Veteran read the McCain thread and look for the post that is out of place.
I have always stayed away from politics when posting on the S/N website! BUT! After the thread on John McCain. That was blown away.
So what is the new policy?
Thank a VET! Bob Platz
P.S. As usual I don't get involved with the original thread for TWO reasons. My post would get tied up in all the @#$%^&*())_+ and if you suspect it's me going under an alias it's not! Bob Platz
