Re: Vallejo paints
I've had the odd bit of chipping, and Vallejo doesn't like masking tape as it sometimes peels off with the paint. I've never had it rub off as badly as you describe.
I wish I could help more, but don't have any more ideas.
I'm in North Texas. Temps in high 90s -low 100s (35 - 40C). Humidity ~ 50%. Example of the issues: I painted a 50 cal. ammo can, let it dry several hours, picked it up and glued it on the model. Paint rubbed off all the edges. Primer is still there. Total handling time, less than two minutes. My paint options here are limited. Local hobby shops are very limited. Squadron has Tamiya and Vallejo. I miss Polly Scale and Floquil ( I know, not an acrylic, but sure did work well).
Thanks for comments. I'll keep trying, but so far not impressed. How long do the Vallejo paints take to cure? Hours? Day? Weeks?
