Thanks for the response. I am hoping for additional responses as my experience with Model Master paints has not been optimal.
As you may/may not know, the official colors are FS 26270 Haze Gray for vertical surfaces, FS 26008 Deck Gray for horizontal surfaces (weather decks), and FS 36076 for flight deck nonskid.
That then translates to Model Master Neutral Gray (FS 36270) for vertical sufaces, Gunship Gray (FS 36118) for horizontal surfaces, and Engine Gray (FS 36076) for nonskid. https://www.testors.com/product-catalog/testors-brands/model-master/acrylic-paint/bottles
Hit "Select a Color," then call up the grays.
When I first got back into this hobby back around 2001, these colors were explained to me, and Model Master was "most recommended." My local hobby shop had (still has) a huge rack of the stuff. Got it, use it, haven't looked back. Been satisfied. I do not strive for "exquisit perfection," however. Have since read here much dissatisfaction with Model Master over the years. Like any product, it has its good and bad points. Never paid attention to the specifics of people's complaints (since I am happy with it.) Only have noted that others have not been happy with it.
I DO wish those others would chime in here and provide you with a better selection of choices!
Looking for recommendations for suitable paints for the Tamiya New Jersey. I would prefer acrylics but I am open to other paints.
