Here it is; get hit by that truck again. No reference to your irrelevant comments, only a gentle prod to avail yourself of what I called Raven out on:
"I'm judging Raven's comments by his own standards.
Here we have a supposed conversation Raven had which is totally lacking in documentation or substantiation...and broadcast over the very Internet which he (Raven) condemns at every opportunity for these very same acts.
Sorry, I'm not buying..."
If you need a few bucks for some new reading glasses, I'll go ahead and chip in. But it's all there in black and white: your comments aren't even discussed...other than to dismiss them out of hand. Sorry if your feelings are hurt.
Here's the bottom line, Phil: your comments were--and are--irrelevant; there is no need to address them since my comments about the topic under discussion, Raven's comments, stand in the face of your deflection, which I dismissed. There's no way your irrelevant comments will matter until (1) you face up to the fact that your comments--whatever you think they might have been--aren't those under discussion; (2) you manage something resembling an honest and sober appreciation for what was written, and; (3) I choose to apply to your comments the same due diligence I apply to Raven's cryptic and vague comments. In any event, you can save yourself the trouble of going simple on me; it doesn't work. You're certainly well within your rights to keep chasing your own tail but I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by doing so.
As it stands now, since Raven has admitted to publishing material he can neither document nor source (in addition to what he posts on the Internet), his credibility--already hobbled by his repeated and cryptic diatribes--is buried. His admission to publishing unsourced and undocumented material (in his "...British Battleship volume..."*) without a very strong and clear alert to the reader is no mistake: it's unforgivable. (Caveat: if Raven has printed a disclaimer in his book, I'll be happy to retract my statement immediately above, fair guy that I am; all I'll require is a page number and specific reference so I can judge for myself any such disclaimer. Got the book in a bookcase about 4 feet away from me right now).
Go ahead, Phil: make my day.
