Those kits were golden as far as the parts box was concerned.
You didn't say what you need a (or multiple?) quad TT mount(s) for. But if you have or get a DML 1/700 BENSON-GLEAVES kit, the quad TT is nice and isn't needed for modeling a BENSON or GLEAVES class unit. Plus there are more than one in the kits (the LAFFEY kit I'm looking at has FOUR quad TT mounts). So, in a sense it can be considered a "freebie".
The Tamiya SIMS class kit has reasonable quad TT mounts, But, lacks any of the mount controls on top of the mount like DML does.
Skywave USN WWII Equipment boxes (also available in several ex-Skywave kits sold under Revell-German and DML labels years ago), have quad TT mounts that are pretty much the same quality and detail as the Tamiya 1/700 scale SIMS class kit.
I have no experience in looking at the resin or 3-D printed TT mounts available, so I can't comment on the quality.
There are numerous makers, some of which are:
Dragon (Benson Livermore kits)
Tamiya (Simms kit)
Niko (resin and PE)
Blue Ridge Models (3D print)
Some in cast metal
What are people’s opinions ? I sort of discount the last one as too much work making it all out of photo etch.
