I had to cancel last minute!..sounds like I saved my $$$... nt
While nationals was fun and there were some very nice models overall it was disappointing on a couple of levels. In the contest room naval subjects were very few especially in 1/350. I have photos and I need to learn how to post them. To me the best was a wonderful diorama in 1/350 of the salvaging of the Oklahoma using the ISW kit, expensive wreck! Only 1 200 scale a Bismarck of course but some real nice 1/700 Combrig and Blue Ridge kits. The dealer room was very disappointing only Tom’s and White Ensign representing ships. No new Trumpeter, HobbyBoss, DML, Meng, Takom, etc. ships or armor. Merit International was there and they only had a display of their CBR 90 none for purchase, also they said the US version is delayed! Now the good news was that some companies know how do business Zoukei-Mura and their SWS aircraft models are incredible! Their staff was sooo nice these guys understand customer service! My friend picked up 5 1/32 aircraft and 2 weapons sets, I only picked up 1 Sinden in 1/32 scale saving my money for later. also had some 3d printed future releases that really show what 3d printers can do. I did get two major steals from smaller vendors, a 1/350 Yahgai w/detail set for $30 and Tamiya’s King George V also in 1/350 for $25! Finally Casemates publishers was there and 40% off everything with some nice naval subjects. All in all lots of fun but very very hot!
