Re: re: YAMATO painting info needed
THE ONLY photo i know which shows any colour difference is the well known shipyard picture where the bridge structure appears lighter than the funnel. as this is a situation where a repaint is likely in progress i do not think it proof of a long term situation!
regarding MUSASHI the well known picture of the pair together shows different colours for them but a single solid colour on each!
I don't have the kit but I find it strange the instructions call ,for the two toned gray. Some years ago there was speculation that Musashi was camouflaged but it has since dried up.
Thank you, Falbo,
That's what I originally thought too but Tamiya instructions for their 1/350 kit (I have the giant Nichimo 1/200 kit) states two different greys. That's why I was questioning it.
Andy, pretty safe to say that the hull and superstructure would be the same gray the XF-75?
I need some expert advice as to the hull and superstructure colors for the YAMATO. Would I be correct to render the hull in Tamiya IJN Kure Arsenal (XF-75) and the superstructure in Light Sea Grey (XF-25)?
Any assistance would be immensely appreciated!
