Re: You may wish to try Guilford Gray RR PS
Thanks, Bill. I will look for it. If I am lucky I will find some still left with the model train store.
PS RR Guilford Gray is a real close match to PS Gunship Gray. It is slightly darker in my humble opinion but I would not fault it as wrong. More black than gray but you have to bend your modern deck in a white light a few times to notice the black. It would make a good pigment for newly applied anti-skid. Polly S (water based) used to make a pigment called Hobgoblin Gray/Black don't know if it is still around, got my last bottles from a sale out of a back of car trunk in Utah. It too was excellent match for PS Gunship Gray.
I hope everybody is doing well and have fun with model ship building. I have been using Polly Scale acrylic gunship gray for ship deck as well as some USAF planes, and finally I come to my last bottle. I thought the Master modeler's gunship gray is the closest substitute, but there are many out there either (eBay and Amazon). I appreciate if anyone could advise me on which brand would be the next best substitute for it. I miss the Polly Scale paint so much. Thank you so much for your input.
