There does not seem to be a noticble difference in the stern between Trumpeter and Samek. What is of note is the Trumpeter hull is longer. Anybody ever scale out the Samek hull? I brought two Samek Texas kits and both came with shattered 20mm splinter shields on main deck, terrible 3” guns and those flat 20mm guns. So first repair work then purchase decent weapons.
I will stick with the Trumpeter kit on this one
The Samek USS Texas is a very nice kit.
I'm willing to bet it's the same hull as the New York kit. You want a good one go for Samek.
I have the New York. Does the Texas have the hull issues that the New York has? (i.e. armor belt is too wide, stern is wrong - should be rounded and not curved inward).
Thanks in advance.
Query to Richard Harden: Do you have plans to offer a 1/700 PE set for the Trumpeter TEXAS and NEW YORK? If so, when do you believe the set will be available.
