Re: Decal solution watermark
Hi Jeff . First thing I do after decaling is to spray the decaled area with spray flat clear lacquer to hold all the decals in place . then I carefully brush paint the edges of the decals to match area paint Using a slightly thinned paint to minimize brush strokes in the paint) .. including water marks too. This hides the decal's "glazed" edges. Then I spray paint flat clear coat again to finish the job. Works for me ! Good luck ! Mark
soapy water might help get rid of the stains. It will also loosen the decals so be careful. One point - did you apply the decals to matt paint or onto a gloss-varnished surface?
Hello everybody, and hope everyone is doing well with his/her project. I recently try to finish the 1/700 USS Nimitz, but this time the decal solution left watermarks on the deck. Dose anyone has this issue before and has good method to solve this problem? I appreciate your help and thank you in advance.
