Who raised the millennials?
All the major players in any future large war (like...WWIII) are nuclear powers. So, wars like WWII are things of the past. If any two of these big powers should engage in a serious all out war against each other, we will see nuclear war. I would not be eager for such a conflict. No winners there. Perhaps millennials are smart enough to realize this, and stop being fixated on wars, and seek other solutions?
That leaves smaller conflicts...the "peripheral" and "proxy" wars, of which the US has seen its share. We have plenty of good folks who've served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't see us lacking any will to fight. I do see us engaging in wars when military solutions are either not the answer, or not the complete solution. Perhaps millennials are also smart enough to realize this as well?
Remembering the sacrifices of those in the past, with hopes that those in the future don't have to.
I wonder if the American people still have the moral will to fight, sacrifice and win. It doesn't seem like the millenials give a crap about anything but the cell phone.
The U.S. fleet scores a huge victory at Midway at great cost 76 years ago. Torpedo Eight of the Hornet and many other brave men. Thank God we had such brave men. Remember their sacrafice then and those brave men that stormed the beaches of Normandy 74 years ago.
