Not really cherry picking before. With the exception of the unsellable scratch and dent kits, open returns, and stuff that doesnít meet their clienteleís wants, shopping the Squadron warehouse wasnít a great deal. You paid retail and state/local sales tax. The only break was you didnít pay shipping
Now they buy a whole room in the convention center. They pay the existing rate/table that other vendors are charged. They bring a u-haul truck with their stock, new stuff and unsellable. The new stuff is sold at retail, the unsellable is deeply discounted and taxes are collected. Itís cheaper for them, the people working are salaried and the donít have to pay the hourly rate for the stock pickers & packers
