The 63' Miami Shipbuilding Co. aviation rescue boats were constructed this way, however. Decks were planked with lengths of 3/4" 5-ply fir plywood, covered with 12-ounce canvas laid in marine glue. Ref: TO 19-85AC-1, 15APR45.
