what i do is measure the actual length of the model's hull & the drawing's hull then divide the model's hull length by the plans hull length & write it down on the plans. use a calculator that has m+(memory plus) even your windows version to hold that number so can use it to get your dimensions off the plans. that is what I do on my Revell 1/429 scale USS Arizona kitbash into the OBB's(Old Battleships) from the Wyoming to the Colorado classes.
