I can see your point regarding this. If I remember the Seydlitz was painted green below the waterline, which is obviously missing. Certainly no boot topping, but Trumpeter have missed this out in RN warships which had boot topping. The only way around this is to ascertain the draught of the ship and scale it down, then work out the methodology. This applies to a certain HMS Ark Royal and others.
