If anyone is interested in seeing the Aurora Atlantis back in plastic again you should contact Frank Winspur of Moebius Models www.moebiusmodels.com/. I have given him copies of the Aurora instruction sheet and a few internet photo images of a built model for him to review for feasibility. This was a cuple of years ago. Moebius has done other ex-Aurora models by re-engineering the molds based on an original kit. He isn't a ship guy so he would need some serious input to put this in production. He didn't rule it out though! Ok, so the Aurora isn't the greatest model in the world. Well, if you have one you could always do a little work on it to improve it. Wouldn't be quite as painful as working on a valuable old kit. Better than nothing! By the way, I have a resin Atlantis but I don't like it at all. I actually like the aurora better for lots of reasons. The resin Atlantis I have (I don't recall the makers name but you have heard of them) is much too narrow in beam, the hull had serious casting issues on my example and the superstructure parts will have to be scratch built as they were warped beyond belief (easily doable but annoying). I made the mistake of not opening the kit when I first received it. It has been in the stash way to long to go back to the manufacturer after this amount of time. The best Atlantis kit (1/400) I have seen is a paper model! Builds into one of three variations, too!
: Wondering how many are done in PLASTIC cause
: in resin there are a few mainly in 1/700
: The only plastic I know is the Aurora
: Atlantis,but I think is long OOP.
