Larry Sowinski's Models - "In Progress" shots of his unfinished models
Posted by Mike Dobrzelecki on November 13, 2017, 7:52:33
Most ship modelers familiar with Larry's work know that he followed a strict regimen for choosing materials and products for his models that ensured they would last for a long time. One example is his use of non-acidic paper (for things like gun shields) and specific types of wood and glues that would not degrade over time.
Here is a selection of his "in-progress" work, which I find as fascinating as his completed models.
CV-14 USS Ticonderoga, A Lexington Class Carrier (possibly USS Saratoga, since he already built a Lex) and what appears to be an angled-deck Essex
Two shots of the unfinished angled deck Essex and Lex Class
Unfinished battle wagon - can anyone identify it?
