Testors Acryl 4605 burnt umber is very viscous in the bottle, like road tar. I have not tried to airbrush it but thinning it would be vital and challenging.
Testors Acryl 4842 ANA 613 olive drab is a normal and need little thinning to airbrush well. OTOH, Steve Zaloga says it is inaccurate, too gray.
Testors no longer makes military enamel paints. My local hobby shop owner would like to drop Testors altogether. The wide, low display racks occupy costly floor space. He can re-stock only those military enamel paints where distributors still have inventory.
: I am paint brusher mainly using Polly Scale
: and Model Master acrylic paints. I shifted
: over to Model Master when they introduced
: S&S Marine pigments. I am starting to regret
: it. The mixture is always thick, even with
: newly opened bottles. They need far more
: thinning than a 1/2 oz. bottle can hold.
: Were they formulated for the air brusher?
: That would explain a great deal.
: Spoiled on Polly Scale to be sure as it was
: formulated for both types of painters
