HA! I know what you're saying; when I saw him build a P-51B as a RAF Mustang, my brother had tto pick my jaw off the floor ..........
And, when I saw him do a 1:72 F4-U ... I couldn't believe it.
Ah, my USS ESSEX, CV-9 ... Kyle had taken some time off - he and his girlfriend recently bought a house and they're in the process of moving; they've closed on the house this past Friday.
However, before he stopped modeling to search for the house and what-not - he started two more for me, both 1:72, and both Hasegawa kits; a F-106 and a T-33. Both models will be finished in the markings of the 101st FIS of the 102nd FIW of the MASSACHUSETTS AIR NATIONAL GUARD.
A friend flew the 106 being built and I almost got a ride in the 33 --- way back in the 1980s.
: Thank you Tim for reminding me how inadequate
: my own modeling skills are. I may after
: watching that video go into a monastery, a
: cloistered monastery, with no internet
: connections where modeling "how
: to", even out of the box "how
: to" videos are expressly forbidden and
: thought to be sinful.
: Seriously this fellow did a great job on
: what can be a tricky kit. I always screw up
: those kit provided railings.
: Speaking of great builds how is that Essex
: of yours coming along? Have not seen any
: new pictures in a few weeks, and the Essex
: Class is one of my great favorites

: I watched this video earlier:
: And, I was simply blown away by what the guy
: did, and did OOB.
: I've watched this guy's plane-build videos,
: and I'm simply blown away by his talent ...
