It is a reasonably accurate representation of the class as originally planned. However, it does not portray what was actually built. Between that, and the general unpopularity of the actual class, plus the fact that Dragon seems to have lost interest in the ship market, I would not hold my breath on a re-release too soon, if ever. Of course that is total speculation on my part. I have no ear to the rumor mill, and no real idea what is actually planned.
As for a Belknap, openly page Pavel here. His website/email got hacked a time back, and recovery has been difficult. And now also the hurricane, as you say. Does indeed make him tough to get hold of. But, I have seen him respond to pages here. He is currently on the front page, nearly 20 topics down, in fact. Good luck. I had/sold a Belknap kit. They are awesome!
: Wasn't there a Dragon 1/700 kit of the DDG1000
: USS Zumwalt? Can't seem to find one
: anywhere. Any word an a re-release?
: Other kits I've been looking for: A 1/700
: Cimmarion (AO22) and a Samek USS Texas BB35
: as built. Is Samek still in business?
: Would also like a JAG/Admiralty Models USS
: Belknap. Been hard to get ahold of
: Admiralty Models though - understandable
: given the recent storms.....
