A scary for me out of high school class of 65. Got my notice to report for the draft physical. The next mail notice would be to report for military duty. Did not want to shoot anyone or get shot. Canada was not an option, yes I was scared out of my wits, but was not going to run away, it was the Air Force, or the Navy. Bell bottoms were in style, and I kind of liked the hat. To avoid the draft I spent four years in the Navy, two under the Atlantic. Thought I was safe, the best man at my wedding, in another boat collided with a Russian boat, his boat made it back stateside, the Russian went down. My boat got extended 10 days on our patrol. For a while I wanted to be a lifer, I don't regret my time in service, but 4yrs was enough for me. We should all pray for our men in the service, and that Rocket Man doesn't pull that trigger. God bless all that serve. Amen
: Thoughts?Before my time.
: Well done. As good as 10,000 day war or the
: NatGeo one which is replayed the past few
