But I guess that isn't the case with you. during one of you rants you implied someone couldn't read.
That I did. As you seem in such a hurry that you read post incorrectly. And then spew out your misinformed verbiage when someone challenges your incorrect assumptions, but that may be asking too much of someone whose mother tongue may, and I repeat only may, not be English. If so then I can cut you some slack on that, but only that, as your other assumptions are just plain wrong.
Any answer I provided MR TROLL would have pointed out that Many explorers collect plates etc when it is legal so The Cousteau people may not have been that far off base in Truk. OH MR TROLL as far as Truk is concerned, What Cousteau did in TRUK has no Bearing on Britannic. I said the Greek antiquities authority would have been all over him for removing artefacts without authorization and I stand by that assertion.
Your assertion / assumption again is wrong. Cousteau took ‘artefacts’ from both Truk and Britannic. Repeat AND Britannic. And that may have been his prerogative at the time, I am just pointing out the FACTS.
And, just for the record, I was on the first diving expedition to dive HMHS Britannic (with Greek Govt. permission and oversight) since Cousteau, and hence refute you assumptions re him.
And yes I dived the wrecks at Truk too, back circa 92. (And Bikini Atoll in 95 and 96 - as a matter of fact I taught the operators there the techniques of so-called 'technical deep diving' before they publicly opened as it were - and where they did run a STRICT “take only photographs, leave only bubbles" policy I might add.)
However if you were capable of reading a map you would see that Truk is actually a long way away from the Jurisdiction, oh sorry big word there, control of the Greeks. As far as Ballard is concerned with Titanic. I know several people who were on that expedition.
“That expedition”? I thought he had been on several expeditions to the big T? And I also know quite a few people personally who have been on research expeditions to the big gal too, some with Mr B IIRC, so no points there for knowing someone who has been to T. She’s became a tourist dive almost these days. Well not almost, has.
I wont tax your limited mental abilities with a long story but Ballard didn't take anything from Titanic. There was and illegal expedition a few years back but all artefacts from Titanic are under the control of RMS Titanic INC.
Exactly (re Ballard) and T Inc. for that matter too, but it seems you still don’t get what I wrote re Ballard. Talk about not been able to read and comprehend what one is saying! Ballard did not AFAIK ever take anything from Titanic! Nor did I say or imply he did. Is that clear enough now re my position re Ballard? Comprehende yet senor? (And I may be mistaken, but doesn’t RMS Titanic Inc. somehow own the salvage right to her, and it is their ‘loot’ that travels the world in exhibitions?)
IN case you couldn't understand I was speaking specifically about Cousteau at the Britannic and mostly about Ballard at the Titanic wreck. Is this a clear enough response for you TROLL?
It is you that still don’t understand Eric, and turn into just what this board has, unfortunately, become infamous for, that is for personal attacks, as opposed to shall we say fiery debate / opposing views on a subject. But when it is pointed out that you seemingly misread my post (as you haven’t yet confirmed it was my post you were referring to), then, in my book, if you can’t comprehend the written word then that means, perhaps not literally, you can’t read properly. How many times do I have to say that?
