from all reports use mccain was crossing the traffic lanes! electrical silent, this means that all the merchant ships see is a light/perhaps and a primary radar return/possibly!
the secondary radar/collision prediction system WILL NOT SHOW A SWITCHED OFF WARSHIP! therefore collision avoidance is entirely on the mccain!
