My dad, was Haines Miller. Post-war he became the Technical Director of the Naval Mine Engineering Facility at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station. He had an official book covering mine operations in the Pacific. His tour started basically at the end of the war when the Terror left for the Pacific. She served as the flagship of post-war mine clearing operations and that is mostly what he did.
The book is called "Mines against Japan" by Ellis A, Johnson and David A. Katcher, published by the Naval Ordnance Laboratory, White Oak, Silver Spring. Maryland. Looks like the release date was June 1973 and was distributed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, stock number 0856-00038.
