Actually G45 came in two gloss levels, A1 and A2. The AFO introducing them states that the A2 507C and G45 are the same gloss level. The A1 version was described as half gloss. I canít see it being at all khaki. The khaki G45 which some people talk about is an urban myth possibly caused by a problem in WEMís production which resulted in a khaki colour being put into G45 cans. I got two cans of that and had them computer colour matched to get a litre can of paint that I needed. The guy in the paint shop made the comment that the formula for the matching was virtually the same as a British Standard colour, BS4800 10B21. Some people know that colour better as RAF Hemp which was also a colour in the WEM RAF range.
: In spite of the formula being the same for G45
: and 507C.
: G45 due to its reflective qualities and
: being a more glossy finish, appears a more
: slate/khaki colour. And if the formula is
: not adhered to and a bit more linseed is
: added the colour can take on even more of a
: green hue.
