Do you have an IPMS Modeling show (club) in your area? Packing up your stuff and getting a table as a vendor for a day is one way to thin the herd. Price your kits to sell, there is no shipping to worry about, and make it clear that you will consider offers. I didn't want to deal with packing up kits, getting payment from people I don't know (I don't do PayPal) and it allowed me to clear out unneeded kits that way. You may not make money over what you paid for the kits, but they are out of your house. Some clubs have "swap meets" where you can take your kits and they will "auction" off your kits for you.
