In my book Fighting Flotilla, the history of the Laforey Class, there are many photos of the Legion and her sisters. Her original Western Approaches paint scheme was soon replaced by the standard Mediterranean dark hull, light upperworks paint job when the flotilla moved to Force H and then Malta. In the latter configuration the pendant numbers on the hull are clearly white, Lance, Lively and Gurkha are the same, and the Pendant is not edged as earlier.
