The president of the Hawaii IPMS club is a serious artillery & missile guy (mainly towed, I think). He did some serious research on the remains of the rail gun that was built to test the feasibility of the concept, including trekking out to visit the remote site with his accomodating wife.
Courageous was a fascinating/ marvelous looking ship. Built one myself.
