This is a plea for some kind soul, or souls, to help finish my 1/600 carrier scratchbuilds. Right now, I have four US WWII flattops and a Vietnam 27-Charlie "on the ways", but I am going to run out of gun mounts. The Dragon guns and the old Skywave guns found in the Dragon ESSEX class and SAN DIEGO class kits firt the bill. They are a bit oversize for 1/700 scale, and are a bit undersize for 1/600, but they are the closest thing out there. I sue don't want to end up scratchbuilding 200-plus 20mms, 70 odd Bofors mounts and 30 or so 5"/38 open mounts if I can avoid it. I have enough to finish SARATOGA and do TICO on hand, but then the spares box will be empty. If you have any spare trees in the spares box, or if you replaced your kit guns with aftermarket, I'll gladly take them off your hands, and yes, I will pay. I just don't see the point in buying several 1/700 kits at 25-30 bucks a pop just to strip guns off fo them. If you want to help, drop me an email!
