HMS Legion camouflage - question for wr

I have been repainting, or checking, camouflage on my RN models over the past year. Today I noticed that HMS Legion appears in RN Camo vol 1 page 23 with colors indicated as Black, White, and 507A. A photograph of this ship in this pattern is in the IWM collection (FL12005) and shows a white pennant number. The number is clearly lighter than the background. Is the book in error and the light color is 507C, not White?
