It is in my opinion the best film about a Battleship.

But it's not good because it's bloody. It's good because it in large part represents the actual views of a Yamato Survivor, namely Yoshida Mitsuru, author of 'Requiem for Battleship Yamato' upon which the Film is based.

And yes, I own the Bismarck flick.
