Could anyone tell me when or if the next Akron Barberton Cluster/WE local will be coming to Kent Ohio? I haven't seen it in a few weeks, since the first or second week of July. I've lived in Kent for two years now, near the Star of the West grain processing plant. During my time here, I've thoroughly enjoyed waking up on a weekday morning and listening for the approaching sound of a Wheeling locomotive's horn as the train lurches down the decaying remnants of the Erie Lackawanna at five miles per hour. I would frequently run out of my apartment in whatever I had been sleeping in the night before and stand on the front steps of my apartment building in order to watch the train activate the gates at the Crain Avenue Bridge grade crossing, where the patience of an ever-increasing number of morning commuters would frequently be tested. I'll be moving away from Kent soon and was hoping to catch this lumbering assassin of workaday monotony a few more times before I leave. This train definitely made my experience in Kent memorable. Railfans, if, like me, you see the humor in the fact that people can and do get extremely upset when their lives are momentarily put on hold for two or three minutes by a passing train, I encourage you to visit the area around the crain avenue bridge before it is demolished (assuming there will still be a WE freight train running this route in the meantime)
