The unions pushed for it for the declining membership.....nothing more nothing less. Now that a man can only work x number hours a week, the railroads will have to hire more employees. Thus adding more dues paying members to the UTU or BofLET. The way I have it figured, if you don't like the hours you work on the railroad, find a different job. Its like being a farmer, fireman or in the military...all have which I have I have done, its a lifestyle not a job. Back to the W&LE
