My point exactly.
If the government was truly worried about our jobs, they would be forcing these companies getting aid to shut down overseas plants, not ones in the US.
Chrysler is shutting down Twinsburg and keeping stamping plants outside the US open. GM may be doing the same with Mansfield and Lordstown. No US stamping plants, much less need for US steel.
That's just scratching the surface, hundreds of smaller companies depend on assembly plants to buy their components. They're all going down. Millions of jobs.
This doesn't help us. It only helps the rich stock holders in these foreign companies.
We'd probably be better off buying an Ohio built Honda Accord.
