Let me tell you the problem. I moved from Pgh to DC area 30 years ago. When I arrived over 70% of cars on the road in DC were foriegn made. Being from PGH and seeing the steel mills collapse, this really, really bothered me. Bottom line is that govt. workers and companies doing govt. contracting DON'T HAVE ANY STAKE in ths success of US companies (i.e. they get paid in a good and bad economy) so they just don't care and that is one of the reasons big govt. is bad.
